Helping Hands Coming Soon!

helping hands new cover

Helping Hands is nearly finished!  I really enjoyed working on this children’s book – even though it has been a tough one!  I changed the art style halfway through and the cover…oh boy, the cover!…the cover went through many versions.  It’s been a long road.

Like my previous children’s books, this one was inspired by my son.  He has really enjoyed wearing different hats (cowboy hat, fireman hat, construction hat, etc.) and playing along.  He also really loved seeing the firefighters when they came to the library to meet the kids.  I wanted to make a book that showcases a few different professions (specifically ones that help others in one way or another).  My son also likes to use his hands a lot – he likes to look at them in gloves, he likes to try sign language, and like most any other kid he enjoys things like play doh.  So that’s where the idea of Helping Hands came from.

I also wanted to mention that this book has free activity pages like my other books.  You can get free coloring pages via a link in Helping Hands.

My plan is to have Helping Hands available within the next few days.  I’ll keep you posted!

More to come.  Stay tuned!
